SELECTING A REFLEXOLOGIST:

Each person will respond differently to a therapy. This is true of all therapies available, and hence, it also applies to reflexology.

Currently, research suggests that reflexology is beneficial to 75 - 80 % of it's recipients - for a very wide range of health conditions. (See our Research Pages ). However, it is also beneficial to most healthy people who just want to relax and relieve their tension.

At the same time, the professional practice of reflexology is an unregulated professional field. Consequently, the standards for the professional practice of reflexology are established by volunteer organizations that care about the quality of reflexology that is provided.

Similarly, reflexologists are generally ethical people who desire to assist their fellow human beings, and, the practice of reflexology is very rarely capable of doing harm. The organizations listed below all require their members to have an established level of training.

Having made these statements, the consumer is warned that they should adopt a "buyer beware" approach to selecting a reflexologist to serve them. Select one that pleases you.
