Admissions Policy:

1). Any person will be admitted to our courses provided that:

a). They have sufficient command of the English Language to understand the instruction and to read the course notes provided.

b). They have sufficient ability to hear the instructions given.

c). They are sufficiently sighted to be able to see the directions of the instructor, or, have accommodated their lack of sightedness.

d). They are 19 years of age or older.

 

2). If an applicant fails to meet these requirements and still wishes to be admitted, the student will take full responsibility for their choice to attend the course and not hold the Pacific Institute of Reflexology resposible if the student fails to complete the course.

 

Attendance Policy:

Students are required to attend all of the instruction to fulfil the requirements of the course.

 

The following refund policy applies to the terms of this enrolment contract:

 

Written Notice:  To initiate a refund, written notice must be provided: By a student to the institution when the student withdraws, or, by the institution to the student where the institution dismisses a student.

 

Refund Entitlement:  Refund entitlement is calculated on the total fees due under the contract, less the applicable non-refundable registration fee. Where total fees have not yet been collected, the institution is not responsible for refunding more than has been collected to date and a student may be required to make up for monies due under the contract.

 

Refund Policy for students:  Refunds after the program of study starts:

If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution, or a student is dismissed, within 10% of the period of instruction specified in the contract, the institution may retain 30% of the total fees due under the contract.

If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution, or a student is dismissed, after 10% and before 30% of the period of instruction specified in the contract, the institution may retain 50% of the total fees due under the contract.

If a student withdraws or is dismissed after 30% of the period of instruction specified in the contract, no refund is required.

 

Other Refund Policy Requirements:

Refunds owing to students must be paid within thirty (30) calendar days of the institution receiving written notification of withdrawal and all required supporting documentation, or within thirty (30) calendar days of an institution's written notice of dismissal.

 

Dismissal Policy:

A student may be dismissed from their course for one or more of the following behaviors:

 

1). Physical abuse of the Institute's property.

2). Theft or non-accidental damage to the Institute's property.

3). Refusal to cooperate with instructors.

4). Behavior displaying insubordination.

5). Use of (or being under the influence of) alcohol or non-prescriptive drugs while in attendance at the Institute.

6). Flagrant disrespect of the Institutes rules of conduct and policies.

7). Absenteeism for more than two hours without informing the Institute.

 

Dispute Resolution Policy:

1). Individuals should always try to resolve an issue informally and directly with the other individual(s)        involved.

2). If an informal resolution has been well tried, and it is felt necessary, a dispute with the Institute should be presented to the Reflexology Association of British Columbia for resolution.

INSTITUTION DECLARATION
